From Kevin J. Gaydosh, APR, PRSA-HR President:

So Santa brought you the newest _-G handheld device?  Very nice.  Good for you!

But when was the last time you upgraded your professional skills by checking out a guest speaker at a monthly chapter program meeting or attended our professional development seminar?

This is the month for best laid plans, resolutions, bucket lists, and round tuits.   Here's a suggestion: make your career a priority in the coming year. Invest some time, energy, interest and a little cash to improve yourself.

And your career.

Keep checking this site throughout 2012 for opportunities to do just that.

Our promise is to help you keep your promise.

January 2012

Resolve to make this year count for your career.

Get involved with PRSA Hampton Roads!

Upcoming Meetings

February Meeting

All Aboard!  The first program meeting for 2012 has just been announced:

Management's Role in Reputation Restoration

Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Town Center City Club
222 Central Park Ave # 230
Virginia Beach, VA 23462

Philip Shucet, president and CEO -- Hampton Roads Transit

Mr. Fix-It.  Magician.  Clean-up batter.  Miracle worker.  A few of the titles Shucet has earned for his body of work in the transportation industry and particularly for his role in the turnaround we've seen in Hampton Roads Transit in recent years.

Today, two years after climbing onboard HRT and having successfully launched Norfolk's sometimes contentious light rail starter line last fall, Mr. Shucet is approaching his last stop with HRT.  January 2012 will be his last month with the agency.    Please plan to join us for lunch, networking and professional development as we listen to Philip Shucet's formula for sound management and reputation restoration.   Better yet, ask your boss to come along too.
