From Kevin J. Gaydosh, APR, PRSA-HR President:

In this economy, we're all being asked to do more with less.

Our March chapter program meeting will explore the dual (or more) roles

PR pros often play within our organizations and the different “communication modes”

in which we must operate from time to time.

Honing this management skill will definitely come in handy in your current position

and is a valuable (and marketable) addition to your career toolbox.

March 2012

Resolve to make this year count for your career.

Upcoming Meetings

March Meeting

Managing the Many Roles Required of Today's PR Professionals

Wednesday, March 7, 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Town Center City Club
222 Central Park Ave # 230
Virginia Beach, VA 23462

Michael Allen shares his techniques and approaches to what many PR professionals face every day: juggling those (sometimes conflicting) responsibilities and priorities.

Allen is the Director of Public Affairs for the Virginia Automobile Dealers Association (VADA) which represents Virginia’s more than 560 new-car and -truck dealerships holding domestic and import franchises.

In addition to representing Virginia dealers in their interaction with automobile manufacturers, VADA represents dealers before the Virginia General Assembly, works with regulatory agencies, manages an educational partnership with the Virginia Department of Education, and oversees an Educational Foundation, among other things.

If you work for a non-profit, municipal government, or other entity that must serve several audiences (internal, external) this is a luncheon you won't want to miss.
